Resources for You

I've found a couple of websites that have a ton of great resources for moms, low income people, and people looking to work at home. Both websites are created by a very courageous woman who is battling severe illness while raising 4 kids.
The Secret to My Success: A gold mine of real work at home opportunities, education and grant assistance, insurance help, legal resources, and a lot more.
Help For Moms: Resources for saving and making money, especially for Moms, but really for anyone that nees help, financial or otherwise.

Camera Time

Summer is a great time for taking pictures. If you want to learn how to be a better photographer, or are looking for solutions to problems, or suggestions, here are a few really great forums that have all the information you need:

POTN forum

Are you looking to buy a new digital camera?  The array of choices can be daunting, with dozens of different models ranging from simple point-and-shoots to professional DSLRs, in all price ranges. DPReview is the website to visit to make your buying decisions easier. They have comprehensive reviews and comparisons for practically every available camera, as well as accessory equipment such as lenses. I find myself using DPReview frequently, for checking out potential purchases as well as items for my wishlists, and cameras I already have but want to learn more about.

A True Freebie Site

Yesall4free.com is a real freebie website, listing completely free, tangible items with no catches. They have links to free samples, advertising giveaways, coupons, and much more. Unlike many other freebie sites, yesall4free.com is kept up to date. I signed up to receive their daily email, so I get immediately alerted to new freebies, as some of them "sell out" very quickly, especially food items. Of all the freebie sites I've visited, I've found Yesall4free.com to be the most reliable and easy-to-use website for getting free stuff. And with their straightforward listings, there is no need to sign up for forums, log in regularly, or give them a lot of personal information.

Freebie Auctions!

Listia is an ebay-style auction site with a twist - everything is free! You "buy" and "sell" using points instead of cash. Get 450 points for signing up, then earn more by listing items, as well as through the various promos and bonuses. This is not an "offer" site, but a real auction site, and everything is free on Listia. There are no listing fees; in fact, many times they will pay you 50 points for listing an auction. Listia is a well-established site, offering a full range of items including collectibles, gift cards, electronics, books, and much more. I use Listia frequently to give away stuff I don't need, and get the stuff I want. I've won several great items, including an Itunes gift card. Check out Listia today, win your first free auction, and you'll be hooked! Listia.com

Affordable Web Hosting

If you are looking for cheap but quality web hosting, try Ipage. They offer a very comprehensive package for only $4.50 a month, including domain name, email, and many site-building tools for beginners and experienced webmasters.I have tried several different hosting companies, and Ipage is the best. Their Drag-and-Drop site builder is easy to use and more intuitive than the others, so even absolute beginners can have a great-looking website up in minutes. Ipage also offers many great tools for experienced users, with FTP and script support. I have used their customer support a few times, and found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful. Check out my website that I am building with Ipage (it's still a work in progress, with a lot of content still to be added): www.seashellsnmore.com. All in all, I highly recommend Ipage.

Access Your Bookmarks from Anywhere

Xmarks.com is one of the most useful browser add-ons you'll ever find. This simple little app is quick, easy, and safe to download, and automatically syncs your bookmarks between browsers and computers. Online backup makes it simple to view, add, or edit your bookmarks from any computer with internet access; just log  into Xmarks with your username and password for instant access..
I searched a long time before I found this great website and add-on. Because I frequently use the public library's computers, I needed an easy way to access the bookmarks I had on my own computer, as well as add more when I found great websites at the library. Xmarks more than fulfilled my expectations, and I use it often.
